FaceSense respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how data is collected, used, stored, and deleted when you use FaceSense mobile services.
What Facial Data We Collect
- Facial images (selfies) you upload.
- Skin-related facial geometry and texture data.
- Skin condition indicators (for example acne, dark spots, and texture).
- Scan metadata such as timestamp and device type.
FaceSense does not use facial data for identity verification, authentication, or face recognition. Facial data is processed only to analyze skin conditions and provide skincare insights.
Why We Process Facial Data
- Analyze skin type and visible concerns.
- Generate personalized skincare insights and recommendations.
- Allow optional progress tracking over time.
With explicit consent, anonymized analysis data may be used to improve AI model performance.
Storage & Retention
- Default: facial images are deleted immediately after analysis.
- Optional: if scan history is enabled, images may be stored for up to 2 years or until deleted by you.
- Analysis results are retained up to 2 years for progress tracking.
- After account deletion, facial images and analysis data are permanently deleted within 30 days.
Third Parties & Sharing
Facial data may be securely processed by AI and cloud infrastructure providers needed to operate the service.
FaceSense does not share facial data with advertising networks, data brokers, social media platforms, insurers, or employers.
Your Controls
- Use the app without saving facial images.
- Delete individual scans at any time.
- Disable facial analysis features.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Request a copy of your data where legally required.
Security, Regions, and Children
- Data is protected with encrypted transmission, encrypted storage, and access controls.
- Processing may occur in secure data centers in supported regions, including the US or EU.
- FaceSense is not intended for children under 13.
- If practices change, users will be notified and consent requested when required.
